Gauges: read what your factory cluster leaves out

A gauge gives you a live number for something your dashboard hides or averages away. Oil pressure, fuel pressure, battery voltage, air/fuel ratio - these are the readings that tell you an engine is healthy before a warning light does. Fitting your own gauges means running a sender or tap at the source, routing the line or wire back to the cabin, and mounting the face where you can actually glance at it. Mechanical gauges plumb the pressure straight to the gauge; digital and electric units read a sender and drive the display electronically. Either way, you get a real number instead of a guess.
