Toyota Tacoma Wheels

Every Tacoma since 2005 uses a 6x139.7 bolt pattern, but the 2024 and newer trucks changed the center bore and the factory offset, so not every wheel moves over cleanly. Below you'll find what fits each generation, which sizes owners actually run, and the in-stock designs worth a look in black, bronze and more. If you already know your size, jump straight into the 6x139.7 designs below.

Tacoma Bolt Pattern and Center Bore by Year

The bolt pattern hasn't changed since 2005. The hub has. Here's what each generation runs:

YearsBolt patternCenter boreFactory wheels
1995-20045x114.3 or 6x139.7, depending on the truck (2WD vs 4WD)67.1 mm (5x114.3) / 106.1 mm (6x139.7)14 and 15 inch
2005-20236x139.7106.1 mm15 and 16 inch, +10 to +40 offset
2024-20266x139.795.1 mm17x7 +60

If you have a 1995-2004 truck, look it up in the fitment search before buying. Two trucks from the same year can need completely different wheels.

2024 and newer owners: your truck has a smaller center bore and a much higher factory offset than the trucks before it. A wheel that bolts right up on a 2018 can sit way further out on a 2024. Run your exact truck through the fitment search to confirm the bore and offset before you order.

Tacoma Rims: 16 vs 17 vs 18 vs 20 Inch

17s are the sweet spot. They're the most stocked size by far, they clear the brakes, and they leave plenty of sidewall for the trail. Go up a size if you care more about street looks than off-road ride.

16 Inch Wheels for Tacoma

A 16 is the closest you'll get to the factory feel on a 2005-2023 truck, and the tall sidewall soaks up washboard roads. Options include the Pro Comp Heritage 16x8 +0 in polished, the Ultra Menace 16x8 +10 in satin black, and the Ion Type 71 16x7 with a machined finish. On a 2024+ truck, a 16 isn't a given. Confirm brake clearance in the fitment search first.

Offset for Stock, Leveled and Lifted Tacomas

Offset decides where the wheel sits in the fender. Higher numbers tuck it in, lower and negative numbers push it out.

  • Stock height: stay closer to the factory offset if you want zero rubbing worries. On 2024+ trucks that means a much higher number than older trucks run.
  • Leveled: +25 to +35 sits flush on the builds below. 0 gives mild poke.
  • Lifted: the negative-offset 20s in stock (-12, -18, -23) are built for this. They stick out, and that's the point.

Tire size depends on your lift, so check the stock-to-6-inch lift guide with 35s before you pick rubber. If you're still deciding on height, read up on the leveling kits worth running and the Tacoma lift kit roundup.

How These Sizes Look on Real Tacomas

These are actual customer trucks. The pattern is clear: +25 to +35 lands flush, and around 0 gives a little poke.

  • 2025 on Method 703: 17x8.5 +35 with 285s, flush.
  • 2024 on Method 305: 17x8.5 +25 with 275s, flush.
  • 2025 on Black Rhino Stadium: 17x8 +35 with 295s, flush.
  • 2025 on Method 315: 17x8.5 +0 with 285s, poke.
  • 2024 on Fuel Rebel: 17x9 +1 with 285s, poke.
  • 2024 on Fuel Tech: 20x9 +20 with 285s, sitting hellaflush.
  • 2018 on Level 8 MK6: 17x8 +0 with 265s, poke.
  • 2018 on Stealth Custom Series F5: 16x8 +0 with 265s, poke.
  • 2009 on TIS 556BA: 17x9 -12 with 315s, nearly flush.

Notice that 17x8.5 shows up again and again on the newest trucks. If you're unsure, start there.

Tacoma Black Wheels

Black works on every paint color and hides trail grime. Satin and matte look rugged. Gloss with milled accents looks dressier. For a plain, tough look, the Fittipaldi FT111SB 17x8.5 in satin black and the Black Rhino Hard Alloys 200 in matte black are easy calls. If you want milled details on a lifted truck, the Tuff T1B 20x10 -23 gloss black milled goes all in. There's more in the Black Rhino six-lug lineup too.

Tacoma Bronze Wheels

Bronze is the overland look, and it's one of the most stocked finishes we carry. It looks best on white, gray, tan and army green trucks. The Dirty Life Journey 17x8.5 +0 in matte bronze is a solid default. The Mayhem Ridgeline 17x8.5 -6 with a black lip adds contrast and a bit more stance. For a softer take, the Enkei RPT1 in Titanium Gold works. See every bronze and gold option in one place.

Tacoma Method Wheels

Method is the name most Tacoma owners search first, and three of the builds above run them in 17x8.5 at +35, +25 and 0. In stock right now is the MR105 Beadlock in 17x8.5 0 offset matte black, listed with a 108 mm center bore. Browse the rest of the Method race wheel lineup, and 2024+ owners should check bore and offset in the fitment search.

Tacoma Fuel Wheels

Fuel leans big and aggressive. The Fuel WEAPON 20x10 -18 in Platinum is a lifted-truck wheel through and through. The Chisel is also in the catalog. Two of the customer trucks above run Fuel: a 17x9 +1 and a 20x9 +20. Find all the Fuel one-piece wheels in 6x139.7.

KMC Wheels for Tacoma

KMC sits between trail and street. The KMC CRUX 18x9 +0 in gloss gunmetal suits a leveled truck that spends most of its time on pavement. The Wrath is the other KMC design in the catalog. Check the full KMC six-lug selection.

How to Choose

  • Mostly trail, any year: 17x8.5 in satin or matte black or bronze.
  • Older truck, retro look: a 16 or the polished AR172 Baja.
  • Leveled daily driver: 17 or 18 at +25 to +35 for flush.
  • Lifted show build: 20x10 with negative offset.

Questions

Will wheels from my 2005-2023 Tacoma fit a 2024 or newer?

Not always. The bolt pattern is the same, but 2024+ trucks have a 95.1 mm center bore instead of 106.1 mm and a much higher factory offset. Check your exact truck in the fitment search before swapping.

Will a 6x135 wheel fit a Tacoma?

No. Tacomas use 6x139.7, or 5x114.3 on some 1995-2004 trucks. Designs like the Moto Metal 970 come in more than one pattern, so make sure you pick the 6x139.7 version.

What size rims are best for a Tacoma?

17 inch for most trucks. It's the most stocked size, it leaves good sidewall for off-road, and 17x8.5 is what most newer-truck owners end up on.

What offset gives a flush look on a Tacoma?

On customer trucks, +25 to +35 lands flush and around 0 gives mild poke. Your result depends on year, lift and tire width, so confirm in the fitment search.

Can I get Tacoma wheels and tires together?

Yes. Truck wheel and tire packages pair the two so you don't have to match them yourself.

Do 20 inch wheels work on a Tacoma?

They do, but most in-stock 20s are 9 to 10 inches wide with negative offsets meant for lifted trucks. Expect less sidewall and a rougher ride off-road than with 17s.

There are no products listed under this category.

Every Tacoma since 2005 uses a 6x139.7 bolt pattern, but the 2024 and newer trucks changed the center bore and the factory offset, so not every wheel moves over cleanly.
