Who Makes Ironman Tires?
Ironman is a tire brand owned by American Tire Distributors (ATD). ATD also owns the Hercules brand, so the two are sister lines. Ironman offers the models above for cars, crossovers, SUVs and trucks.
Are Ironman Tires Good?
Ironman is a value brand. It doesn't have star ratings to judge by, so look at the numbers on the tire.
- Treadwear: The AT-X and HT 4S are graded 600 in standard-load sizes. That's the highest grade in the lineup. The PT PLUS is 480 and the GR906 is 440.
- Speed ratings: The performance all-season lines come mostly in W-rated XL and ZR sizes. The SUV line is V-rated.
- Load: Truck owners get LT load range E sizes in the AT-X, HT 4S and CHT, and load range C and F sizes in the MT-X.
If those grades and ratings match what your car or truck needs, Ironman is a sensible way to keep tire spending down.
How to Pick the Right Ironman Tire
Match three things to your current tire or door placard:
- Size: width, aspect ratio and wheel diameter. A 225/60R17 only fits a 17-inch wheel.
- Load: the load index, or the load range on LT tires. On LT245/75R17/10 121/118S, the /10 means load range E and 121/118 is the single/dual load index.
- Speed rating: the letter at the end. Match it or go higher.
If you're changing sizes, use our calculator to compare overall diameter before you order. Then check your exact car or truck in the fitment search. Building a new setup? Matched wheel and tire packages handle the sizing for you.
Tire Width on Real Customer Builds
Here's what owners run for wheel size and front tire width on real flush builds. Use it to see how tire width tracks wheel width, then search that size in the lineup.
| Car | Front wheel | Rear wheel | Front tire width | Stance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2016 Ford Mustang | 20x10.5 +35 | 20x10.5 +35 | 305 | HellaFlush |
| 2008 Subaru Legacy | 17x8 +48 | 17x8 +48 | 245 | Flush |
| 2015 Lexus RX350 | 19x8.5 +38 | 19x9.5 +38 | 235 | Flush |
| 2017 Lexus IS200t | 20x9 +38 | 20x10 +45 | 245 | Flush |
| 2018 Lexus IS350 | 19x8.5 +32 | 19x10 +40 | 235 | Flush |
| 2020 Toyota GR Supra | 19x11 +35 | 19x11 +35 | 285 | Nearly Flush |
| 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe | 20x9 +25 | 20x10 +25 | 255 | Flush |
The pattern is clear. The 8.5 to 9 inch wheels on the Lexus IS and RX builds carry 235 to 245 fronts. The 10.5 to 11 inch wheels on the Mustang and Supra step up to 285 and 305. Your exact size still depends on your car, so confirm it in the fitment search.

Questions
Is the iMOVE Gen 3 AS newer than the Gen 2 AS?
Yes, Gen 3 is the newer version. Both cover 14-22 inch wheels with mostly XL and ZR sizes and the same 380 treadwear grade.
Why don't LT tires show a treadwear grade?
LT sizes don't carry a treadwear grade, so we show a dash. Compare them by load range and speed rating instead.
Which Ironman tire fits 22-inch wheels?
The iMOVE Gen 2 SUV covers 20-24 inch wheels, including 22-inch sizes like 265/35R22, 275/40R22 and 305/45R22. The MT-X also reaches 22 inches if you need a mud-terrain.
What's the difference between the CHT and the AT-X for a work truck?
The CHT is a highway LT tire for hauling on pavement. The AT-X has all-terrain tread. Both come in load range E sizes on 16-inch wheels.
Does Ironman have a 35-inch tire?
Yes, the All Country AT-X comes in 35x12.50R20LT, 12-ply rated with a 125S load and speed rating. Check clearance on your lift before ordering.
Can I go up a size from my stock tire?
Often, but compare overall diameter and clearance first. Run both sizes through the tire size calculator, then confirm in the fitment search.
