A gauge mount holds an aftermarket gauge, monitor or tuner display in a solid, vehicle-specific spot so you can read it without looking away from the road. Good gauge mounts take a loose gauge off a zip-tie or a dash pad and locate it in the A-pillar, on the steering column, or in a factory-style pod that follows the interior lines. The mechanical job is simple but it matters: a pillar or column mount puts boost, EGT, tuner or air-fuel data in your natural sight line and keeps the wiring tucked, so nothing rattles or blocks a vent.
