These are beadlock wheels for trucks, Jeeps and UTVs. Some are true beadlocks that clamp the tire bead in place, and some are beadlock-look wheels that only copy the style. Read the product name to tell them apart: Beadlock means a true beadlock, and Bead Ring without Beadlock means the look only.

Fuel 1PC D716 COVERT
Beadlock-look. This is the Covert in Matte Gun Metal with a black bead ring. The ring is styling only, so the tire seats and holds air like on any normal wheel. It has the most fitment options of the three Covert finishes: 15x8, 17x8.5, 17x9, 18x9, 20x9 and 20x10, with bolt patterns including 5x114.3, 6x135, 6x139.7, 8x170 and 8x180. Don't mix it up with the D113 Covert Beadlock, which is a true beadlock. This one won't hold the bead at very low pressure.
Fuel 1PC D696 COVERT
Beadlock-look. It's the same Covert design in Matte Bronze with a black bead ring, which is a strong look on white, gray or tan trucks. Sizes are 15x8, 16x8, 17x9, 18x9, 20x9 and 20x10, with bolt patterns including 5x127, 6x139.7, 8x165.1 and 8x170. If you want a true beadlock, look at the D113 Covert Beadlock. The D696 is the style only.
KMC Powersports IMPACT UTV BEADLOCK
True beadlock for side-by-sides. It comes in 15x7, 15x8 and 15x10, in Machined or Satin Black, with bolt patterns including 4x137, 4x156, 5x114.3 and 6x139.7. The 15x10 gives the widest footprint of the KMC Powersports wheels here. It pairs well with the full-size Impact Beadlock if you want your truck and UTV to match. As with any true beadlock, check the ring bolts after every ride.
KMC Powersports AZTEC UTV BEADLOCK
True beadlock for side-by-sides. Sizes are 15x7, 15x8 and 15x10, with bolt patterns including 4x137, 4x156, 5x114.3 and 6x139.7. What sets it apart from the Impact is finish choice: Gloss Black Milled, Machined, or Matte Bronze with a Matte Black ring. The milled finish has bright cut edges that need a little more cleaning after muddy rides to stay sharp.
KMC Powersports TORX UTV BEADLOCK
True beadlock for side-by-sides. It comes in 15x7 and 15x8 only, with no 15x10, and bolt patterns including 4x137, 4x156, 5x114.3 and 6x139.7. Finishes are Gloss Black Milled, Machined, and Matte Black with a Gloss Black ring. If you want the widest wheel, the Impact or Aztec UTV are the better picks.
Fuel 1PC D695 COVERT
Beadlock-look. This is the Covert in Candy Red with a black bead ring, and it's the loudest of the three Covert finishes. Sizes are 16x8, 17x9, 18x9, 20x9 and 20x10, with bolt patterns including 5x127, 6x135, 6x139.7 and 8x180. Red is a commitment, so pick it if your paint can back it up. The ring is cosmetic, so air down only as far as you would on a normal wheel.
KMC E25 BEADLOCK
True beadlock for Jeeps and trucks. It's 17x9 only, in Blackout or Machined, with bolt patterns including 5x127, 6x135, 6x139.7 and 8x165.1. Blackout keeps the ring and bolts low-key, while Machined puts the bolt circle on display. The one size keeps things simple, but you won't find a 20-inch option here.
KMC KM235 GRENADE CRAWL BEADLOCK
True beadlock built for crawling, as the name says. It has the most sizes of the KMC truck beadlocks here: 17x8.5, 17x9, 18x9 and 20x10. Bolt patterns include 5x127, 6x135, 6x139.7, 8x165.1 and 8x170, so it's one of the few true beadlocks here for 8x170. Finishes are Machined or Satin Black.
KMC IMPACT BEADLOCK
True beadlock for Jeeps and trucks. It's 17x9 in Machined or Matte Black, with bolt patterns including 5x127, 6x135, 6x139.7 and 8x165.1. It's the full-size match to the KMC Powersports Impact UTV, which is handy if your rig and your side-by-side share a trailer. There's only one size, so 18 and 20-inch builds should look elsewhere.
KMC KM238 VI BEADLOCK
True beadlock in 17x9 and 20x10, with bolt patterns including 5x127, 6x135, 6x139.7 and 8x165.1. Finishes are Machined, or Satin Black with a Machined ring that makes the bolt circle stand out. The 20x10 makes it one of the few true beadlocks here for bigger-diameter truck builds. A wider wheel also means more ring bolts to keep an eye on.
Fuel 1PC FC125 RINCON BEADLOCK
True beadlock, and Fuel's main pick here for Jeeps and trucks. It comes in 17x9 and 20x10, with bolt patterns including 5x127, 6x139.7 and 8x165.1. Finishes are Blackout, Candy Red, and Cast & Machined. Unlike Fuel's Bead Ring wheels, this one actually clamps the bead, so it carries the ring-bolt upkeep that comes with that.
KMC Powersports KS235 GRENADE BEADLOCK
True beadlock for side-by-sides. It's the only design here offered in 14x7, alongside 15x6, 15x7 and 15x10. Bolt patterns include 4x137, 4x156 and 5x114.3. Finishes are Machined, Satin Black and Satin Bronze. The narrow 15x6 suits machines where you want to keep track width in check.
Fuel 1PC D701 AMMO
Beadlock-look. The Ammo comes in Matte Gun Metal with a black bead ring, in 17x9, 18x9 and 20x9. Bolt patterns include 5x127, 5x139.7, 6x135 and 6x139.7. There's no 20x10, so it's for builds that want a 9-inch width. It's style only and holds air like any standard wheel.
Fuel 1PC D601 VECTOR
Beadlock-look. The Vector comes in Matte Gun Metal with a black bead ring, in 17x8.5, 17x9, 18x9 and 20x10. Bolt patterns include 5x127, 6x135, 6x139.7 and 8x165.1. Don't confuse it with the Fuel UTV Vector Beadlock, which is a true beadlock for side-by-sides. This D601 is the look only.
KMC KM236 TANK BEADLOCK
True beadlock in 17x9, with bolt patterns including 5x127, 6x139.7 and 8x170. It offers the most color choice among the KMC 17s: Candy Red, Matte Bronze or Satin Black. It's the other true 8x170 option besides the Grenade Crawl. There's only one size, so plan your tire around a 17x9.
KMC VI BEADLOCK
True beadlock. This is the same VI design as the KM238 listings, here in 17x9. Bolt patterns include 5x127, 6x135 and 6x139.7. Finishes are Machined, or Satin Black with a Machined ring. If you need the 20x10, look at the KM238 VI Beadlock listings.

What are beadlock wheels?
A true beadlock wheel has a bolted outer ring. The tire's outer bead sits between that ring and the wheel, and a circle of bolts clamps it down. The clamp keeps the bead seated, not air pressure. That means you can air down very low for rocks or sand, and the tire won't peel off the rim when you slide sideways off a ledge.
A beadlock-look wheel, also called a simulated beadlock, has a styled ring for looks only. The tire seats and holds air like on any normal wheel. Nothing is clamped.

The grid doesn't sort them for you, so read the product name. If the name says Beadlock, it's a true beadlock, even when the finish also says Bead Ring. The Fuel UTV D919 Tech Beadlock in 15x10 is one example. If the name says Bead Ring and not Beadlock, it's the look only.
Two pairs trip people up. The D632 Zephyr is beadlock-look, while the D100/D101 Zephyr Beadlock is true. The D696 Covert is beadlock-look, while the D113 Covert Beadlock is true.
Who needs a true beadlock
If you air down hard for rock crawling, sand or slow technical trails, a true beadlock earns its keep. Low pressure gives a bigger footprint and lets the tire wrap over rocks, but it also makes a normal bead easy to break. If you mostly drive pavement and fire roads at normal pressure, the beadlock look gets you the style without the upkeep.
Living with a true beadlock
- Check the ring bolts before and after every trip. Heat and hard use can loosen them.
- Follow the torque values and tightening order in the instructions that come with the wheel.
- Use a tire shop that has done beadlocks before. A tire install takes longer than on a standard wheel.
- Keep the ring and bolts clean. Packed mud makes it hard to spot a loose bolt.
Can you drive beadlocks on the street?
It depends on where you live. Rules for running true beadlocks on the road vary, so check your local and state rules before you daily drive a set. Beadlock-look wheels are built and installed like any standard wheel.
Off-road beadlock wheels for Jeeps, trucks and UTVs
Jeeps and trucks mostly run 17-inch beadlocks. 17x9 is the size we stock most, with 17x8.5 close behind. 18x9, 20x9 and 20x10 cover bigger-diameter builds. The 22x9 Rebel is beadlock-look only. UTVs run 14 and 15-inch wheels.

8x170 beadlock wheels
For 8x170, the true beadlocks are the KMC KM235 Grenade Crawl and KM236 Tank. The Fuel D716, D696 and D695 Covert also come in 8x170, but those are beadlock-look. See the full 8x170 lineup.
KMC beadlock wheels
KMC splits its beadlocks into two lines. The truck and Jeep line has true beadlocks like the Grenade Crawl, Tank, VI, E25 and Impact. The VI in satin black with a machined ring is a good example. KMC Powersports side-by-side wheels include the Impact, Aztec, Torx, Grenade, Recon and Cage, all true beadlocks. One example is the 15x6 Cage in satin black. Browse the KMC catalog.
Fuel wheels beadlock
Fuel makes both kinds. On the true beadlock side, there's the FC125 Rincon (like the 17x9 -38 Rincon in Blackout) and the D101 Zephyr Beadlock in matte black. For side-by-sides, Fuel's UTV line has the Tech and Maverick Beadlock. Any Fuel 1PC design with Bead Ring in the name and no Beadlock is the look only. See Fuel's one-piece range.
Method and Black Rhino beadlocks
Method's beadlocks here are all true beadlocks. For trucks and Jeeps, there's the MR105 Beadlock 17x9 -38 in machined with a matte black ring. For side-by-sides, there's the MR401 UTV, MR415 and MR416 Beadlock. Black Rhino's Primm Beadlock is a true beadlock in sizes including 17x8.5, with colored ring bolts. How they look on the truck
One customer runs the KMC KM233 Hex Beadlock, a true beadlock, on a 1995 F-150. The setup is 17x10 -38 on all four corners with 315s, tucked under the fenders.
Our Tundra customer builds aren't on wheels from this page, but their sizes are a useful guide for big-tire trucks. Owners run 20x9 0 with 315s, 20x9 +20 with 305s, and 20x10 -18 with 305s or 315s, all sitting flush. A 2022 F-150 runs 20x9 0 with 285s and a little poke. The 20x12 -44 and 22x12 -44 Tundra setups use sizes we don't stock in beadlocks. For that look, start with our truck wheel selection.
Finishes
Machined is the most common finish here. It's a bare metal face that shows off the ring bolts. Black comes in satin, matte and gloss, and bronze and candy red are the color options. On true beadlocks, a contrast ring, like satin black with a machined ring, makes the bolt circle pop. On Fuel's beadlock-look wheels, the black bead ring against gunmetal, bronze or red is the whole point.

Questions
What's the difference between a beadlock and a simulated beadlock wheel?
A true beadlock clamps the tire bead to the wheel with a bolted ring. A simulated wheel only has a styled ring for looks. In our listings, Beadlock in the name means true, and Bead Ring without Beadlock means simulated.
Are beadlock wheels street legal?
It depends on where you live. Rules for running true beadlocks on the road vary, so check your local and state rules before buying a set for daily driving.

The KMC KM235 Grenade Crawl and KM236 Tank are true beadlocks offered in 8x170. The Fuel D716, D696 and D695 Covert also come in 8x170 but are beadlock-look.
Do KMC beadlocks fit UTVs?
The KMC Powersports line does. The Impact, Aztec, Torx and Grenade are true beadlocks in UTV sizes with bolt patterns including 4x137 and 4x156, while the regular KMC line is sized for trucks and Jeeps.
