StopTech Performance Brake Pads - 309.13820 FAQ
It is listed for: 2012 Fisker Karma; 2020 Nissan GT-R; 2009-2010 Nissan GT-R and more (see the full list above). Pick your vehicle on this page to check your exact year and trim.
Yes. A series of firm slowdowns from moderate speed, without coming to a stop, lays an even layer of pad material on the rotor. Follow the maker's bed-in steps.
New pads on worn or grooved rotors bed poorly and can squeal; if the rotors are worn or lipped, replace both.
Not for a pad or rotor change. Calipers or lines open the system, so it has to be bled, and fresh fluid is the normal choice then.
Larger calipers and rotors need wheel clearance. The Part details list the minimum wheel size when the maker states it, and the maker's clearance template settles any doubt.
Usually incomplete bed-in, missing shims or anti-squeal paste, or an aggressive compound. Bed them in and check the hardware first.
Pads and rotors are a common home job with jack stands, a torque wrench and the right sockets. Calipers and lines need bleeding, so a shop is the safer choice if you have not bled brakes before.
Yes — monthly options show right under the Add to Cart button. Affirm, Klarna, PayPal Pay Later and Snap Finance are offered at checkout, and checking what you qualify for does not affect your credit score.
Install and care: brake pads
Before you start
- Read the maker's bed-in steps so you can do them right after the install.
- Check the rotors, hardware and fluid while the wheels are off.
Do
- Bed the pads and rotors in right away, following the maker's steps.
- Use the new hardware and shims the kit includes.
Don't
- Don't put new pads on worn, grooved or lipped rotors.
- Don't drive hard before the bed-in is done.
