OE style booted ball joints and bonded rubber bushings maintain factory ride, handling and noise, vibration, & harshness (NVH) parameters. Audi's unique multi-link suspension creates a 'Virtual' SAI. The factory does not publish a specification for caster, but SPC recommends 5deg to 6deg of caster as a preferred angle for tracking and return to center on these cars. - Mark the position of any adjustable bolts before removing the old arm.
- Book an alignment for after the install.
Do
- Torque the bushing bolts with the car at ride height.
- Get the alignment done before putting miles on the car.
Don't
- Don't drive on new arms before the alignment.
- Don't reuse stretched or rusted bolts.
