Control Arms
Control Arms: The Link Between Your Knuckle and the Chassis
A control arm is the pivoting link that ties your steering knuckle or spindle to the chassis, locating the wheel through its travel while the ball joint and bushings handle the movement. Fit new control arms when the factory bushings are cracked and clunking, when a ball joint is worn, or when you want adjustment the stock arm never gave you. Adjustable arms let you dial in camber and caster after a lift, a drop, or a hard alignment target on track. On lifted trucks, upper arms with uniball or larger ball joints correct geometry the stock arm can't reach.
What ThreePiece Stocks
There are 370 control arms in stock here, from around $81 for a single arm or bushing-service piece up to $2,030 for full billet or coilover-ready kits. That current in-stock range is not a promise, but it shows the spread. The catalog runs 30 brands deep, led by Superpro and Whiteline for street and bushing-focused arms, SPC Performance and Skunk2 for alignment-adjustable pieces, BMR Suspension and UMI Performance on the muscle-car side, and SPL Parts, Camburg, Synergy Mfg and Ridetech at the billet end.
Coverage is broad. Of the range, 241 products carry fitment data across makes including Ford, Chevrolet, Subaru, Toyota, Honda, Acura, BMW and Nissan, spanning model years from 1955 to 2025. Popular platforms include the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Honda Civic, Subaru WRX and BRZ, Acura Integra, Nissan 240SX, and Toyota Tundra and Tacoma.
How to Choose
Start with the job. If you just need to kill a clunk and restore stock geometry, an OE-style arm or a bushing rebuild is the cheapest path. If you're chasing an alignment number, choose adjustable arms: the SPL Parts R35 GTR upper camber/caster arms or the SPL Boxster/Cayman front lower kit are examples of that adjustable, spherical-bearing approach.
Lifted trucks are their own decision. Billet uniball uppers like the Camburg Raptor KINETIK V2 uppers or the Camburg Tundra uppers correct geometry and add clearance. On a Jeep JL, the Synergy adjustable arm kit resets pinion angle and caster after a lift. Pro-touring builds swapping to coilovers should look at tubular kits like the Ridetech C10 StrongArm uppers and lowers. Uniball arms are stiffer and more precise but noisier and need more upkeep than a bushed arm.
What Else You Need
Control arms rarely go in alone. Fresh bushings and a sway bar refresh finish the geometry job, and if you're changing ride height plan for coilovers, lowering springs or a lift kit at the same time. Browse the full Suspension section to line up the rest of the build.
