Exhaust Wrap
Exhaust Wrap: keep engine-bay heat where it belongs
Exhaust wrap and its cousins - heat sheath, thermal blankets and reflective tape - do one job: hold heat inside the pipe and keep it off everything around it. Wrapping a header or downpipe keeps combustion heat in the exhaust stream where it helps gas flow, and pulls radiant heat off nearby wiring, hoses, brake lines and paint. On a turbo car the same logic applies to the uppipe and downpipe. If you have burned a connector or cooked a wiring loom near a header, this is the category that fixes it.
What ThreePiece stocks
There are 50 products on this page across 5 brands. The bulk of the range is DEI, with 39 items in stock, followed by Torque Solution (7), Mishimoto (2), and single listings from Kooks Headers and Vibrant. Current prices run from $21 to $632 - that is the live range for what is in stock right now, not a fixed offer. At the wrap-and-sleeve end you have things like the DEI Heat Sheath 1/2in x 50ft spool and the larger DEI Heat Sheath 1in x 50ft spool. Reflective tape is covered by the Mishimoto 2in x 35ft reflective tape. For vehicle-specific pieces, the Torque Solution EJ20/EJ25 downpipe blanket and EJ20/EJ25 uppipe blanket are cut for Subaru turbo pipes, and the Kooks C8 Corvette heat shield blankets sit at the top of the price range.
How to choose
Three formats cover most needs. Sheath and sleeving, like the DEI spools, slides over wires and lines you want to protect from radiant heat - buy by the inside diameter that fits over what you're covering, and by the length of run. Reflective tape, like the Mishimoto, is for shielding surfaces and looms you can't slide a sleeve over. Bolt-on blankets, like the Torque Solution and Kooks pieces, are shaped for a specific pipe and go on fastest, but only fit the vehicle they're cut for. Actual fitment data here is thin: only one product lists confirmed fitment, on the Chevrolet Corvette for years 2020-2024, though product names also reference Subaru applications. Match the shaped blankets to your exact car and treat the sheath and tape as universal by size.
What else you need
Wrap and blankets go on parts you're already working on. If you're wrapping headers, browse Headers; if you're shielding the mid-section, look at Exhaust Pipes and Catalytic Converters. Full systems and their joints live under Cat-Back Exhaust and Exhaust Flanges. Everything in this section sits under the main Exhaust department.
