Throttle Body Spacers
Throttle Body Spacers: a bolt-in that reshapes airflow into the intake
A throttle body spacer sits between the throttle body and the intake manifold, adding length and often a machined or helix-bored bore to the air path. The idea is to condition airflow as it enters the manifold, and on many builds the throttle body spacers in this section are chosen as a simple, reversible mod that goes on with hand tools and a fresh gasket. It is one of the easiest parts in the Engine Components section to fit in a driveway.
What ThreePiece stocks
We currently list 29 products here from two brands: aFe and BBK. aFe makes up the larger share at 19 listings, with BBK filling the other 10. Prices run from $138 to $650, which is the live range on what is in stock right now rather than a fixed promise. That spread covers straightforward aluminum spacers like the aFe Silver Bullet for the ND Mazda Miata and the aFe Silver Bullet for the C8 Corvette at the lower end, up to larger-bore BBK throttle bodies such as the BBK 90mm for the 18-20 Mustang 5.0L and the BBK 85mm Power Plus for the LS1 Camaro, Firebird and GTO.
Of the listings, 26 carry fitment data spanning model years from 1986 to 2023. Sampled makes include BMW, Dodge, Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Subaru, Pontiac, Mazda, Jeep and Ram, on vehicles like the Ford Mustang, BMW X5, Dodge Ram 1500, Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet Corvette, Toyota Tacoma, Subaru Crosstrek and Mazda Miata.
How to choose
The clearest split in this category is between a true spacer and a replacement throttle body. The aFe Silver Bullet spacers are the budget, bolt-in route: they keep your factory throttle body and are among the cheapest parts here. Note that the aFe C8 spacer is listed to work with the factory intake only, so confirm your intake setup first. The BBK pieces are larger-bore throttle bodies and sit at the top of the price range; they are a bigger commitment and are model-specific to platforms like the Mustang 5.0L and the LS1 F-body. Match the part to the exact make, model and year in the listing before you buy, and check for notes about factory intake compatibility.
What else you need
Plan on a fresh gasket at the mating surface. Browse Gasket Kits and Head Gaskets while you are here. If you are working the intake and fuel side, look at Adapters, Fittings and Fuel Pumps. Keeping the cooling and filtration in check pairs well too, so check Radiators and Oil Filters.
