Intercooler Hoses
Intercooler Hoses: The Boost Plumbing That Actually Holds Pressure
On a turbo or supercharged engine, the intercooler hoses are the flexible connections that carry charged air between the turbo, the intercooler, and the throttle body. They take the place of a rigid pipe where the plumbing has to bend, absorb engine movement, or clamp onto a hard pipe. When a factory rubber boot splits or balloons under boost, you lose pressure, you lose throttle response, and you can throw a boost-leak code. A reinforced silicone hose or boot kit is the common fix and a common upgrade when people raise boost past stock.
The mechanical job is simple but unforgiving: the hose has to seal on a barb or bead, resist heat, and not swell or blow off the pipe when boost spikes. That is why the reinforced, multi-ply construction matters more than the color.
What ThreePiece stocks
This category carries 197 products across 11 brands. The current in-stock price range runs from $26 to $376 — treat that as today's range, not a locked-in promise. Vibrant is the largest presence here with 117 products, followed by Mishimoto with 55, then smaller counts from aFe, Perrin Performance, Torque Solution, Turbosmart, BD Diesel, GReddy, Banks Power, COBB and Wehrli.
The range splits into two clear kinds of part. Universal silicone couplers, like the Vibrant 4-ply straight coupling in 2.25in I.D. and the wider 3.5in I.D. coupling, join hard pipe to hard pipe on a custom or modified setup. Vehicle-specific boot kits drop straight onto factory pipe locations — for example the Mishimoto factory boot kit for the 13-16 Ram 6.7L Cummins, the Mishimoto silicone induction hose for the 08 Subaru WRX, and BD Diesel hose and clamp kits for the 1999-2003 7.3L PowerStroke and 2003-2007 6.0L PowerStroke.
How to choose
The 30 products with listed fitment cover model years from 1993 to 2021. Top makes are Subaru, Ford, Toyota, Mazda, Dodge and Chevrolet, with named vehicles including the Subaru WRX, WRX STI, Toyota Supra, Mazdaspeed 3, Ford F-250 and F-350, and Chevrolet Duramax.
- If you want a bolt-on replacement or upgrade, pick a vehicle-specific boot kit that matches your exact year and engine — no measuring, correct clamps included.
- If you are building or modifying plumbing, buy universal Vibrant couplers by inside diameter to match your pipe. Confirm the I.D. before ordering.
- Color is cosmetic. Prioritize the right diameter and reinforced construction over finish.
What else you need
Hoses are one piece of the charge path. Pair them with Intercooler Pipes when you are routing hard lines, or step up to a full Intercooler Kit or a new core from Intercoolers. On the intake side, browse Cold Air Intake Kits and the wider Air Intakes section.
