Gram Lights 57DR: the six-spoke that took over drift and track
The Gram Lights 57DR is the six-spoke wheel RAYS builds for markets outside Japan, based on its classic 57D. It's a one-piece cast wheel made in Japan by RAYS, the same company behind Volk Racing, and it's been a staple on drift cars, time attack builds and clean street cars for years. We carry the 57DR from 15 to 19 inches in 5x114.3, 5x100, 5x120, 5x112, 4x100 and 5x108, in more finishes than any other Gram Lights.
Design and construction
Six straight spokes run from a small center out to the lip, and the face gets deeper as the wheel gets wider, so an 18x10.5 looks a lot more aggressive than an 18x8.5. RAYS casts the 57DR in one piece and certifies it to JWL+R Spec 1, its own strength standard that goes past the basic Japanese JWL test.
The 57DR is part of the Gram Lights R series with the 57CR, 57XR and the newer 57NR. These are the wheels you see at drift events from grassroots practice days to the pro series: light for a cast wheel, stiff, and easy to clean.
Finishes are where the 57DR stands out. Semi Gloss Black with the red spoke sticker is the classic, and there's also Gunblue II, Bronze II, Eternal Blue Pearl, E8 Gold, Almite Gold, Milano Red, Mach Yellow, Ceramic Pearl and limited colors like Admiral Blue and RAYS Black Metal Coat. Not every finish comes in every size; the table below shows what goes with what.

What cars does the 57DR fit?
Bolt pattern comes first: if it doesn't match your hub, nothing else matters. Then width and offset decide whether the wheel sits tucked, flush or out past the fender. Here's what we list in the patterns these cars use, with customer cars where we have them.

Lower offsets push the wheel out; higher offsets tuck it in. Wide, low-offset sizes usually need fender rolling and some camber on a lowered car. Not sure? Call or text 813-535-5801 with your car, ride height and tire size and we'll pick the size with you.

57DR questions
Are Gram Lights 57DR wheels forged?
No. The 57DR is a one-piece cast wheel. RAYS makes it in Japan; RAYS also makes Volk Racing, and Gram Lights is its cast line.
What's the difference between the 57DR and the 57CR?
Spoke count and face. The 57DR has six spokes; the 57CR has five spokes that start down in the rim well, so it looks deeper at the same width. Both are cast, both come in nearly the same sizes and bolt patterns, and both are proven at the track. Pick the face you like.
What is the most popular 57DR size?
18x9.5 +38. In 5x114.3 it's the go-to on the 2015+ WRX and STI, and in 5x100 it's a favorite on the GR86, BRZ and FR-S. Most of the customer cars on this page run it. Want more lip and a wider tire? 18x10.5 +12 or +22 is the aggressive pick, but plan on fender work and camber on most cars.
How much does a 57DR weigh?
RAYS doesn't publish weights for the 57DR on its spec sheets, so we don't list guessed numbers. It's built light for a cast wheel, which is a big part of why it's so common at the track.
Will a 57DR fit my car?
Start with your bolt pattern, then pick a width and offset. The tables on this page show every 57DR size we sell and the patterns it comes in. Call or text 813-535-5801 with your car and how low it sits, and we'll tell you which size works.
