Gram Lights wheels: RAYS' cast performance line from Japan
Gram Lights is the cast wheel line from RAYS, the Japanese company that also makes Volk Racing. RAYS pushes casting about as far as it goes here: light, stiff one-piece wheels for drift, time attack and street cars, made in Japan and named in the 57 series, from the six-spoke 57DR and five-spoke 57CR to the new ten-spoke 57NR. This page has every Gram Lights we carry; each model below has its own page with sizes, fitment and customer cars.
The Gram Lights lineup
The R series: drift and track
- 57DR: six straight spokes, 15 to 19 inch, the most sizes and finishes of any Gram Lights.
- 57CR: five spokes that start in the rim well for a deep look, 15 to 19 inch.
- 57NR: the newest R series wheel: ten spokes, 17 to 19 inch, plus the 57NR Limited in RAYS Black Metal Coat.
- 57XR: twin six-spoke (2x6), 17 to 19 inch.

- 57FXZ: concave Y-spoke, cast with a flow formed barrel, 18 to 20 inch, plus the 15-inch Rally.
- 57FXZ Overseas Model: the 57FXZ design in export sizes, Matte Graphite.

- 57DR-X: the 57DR for 6x139.7, 6x135, 5x127 and more, 16 to 18 inch, including the heavy-duty 57DR-X HD.
- 57DR-X2: the five-lug 57DR-X for SUVs, 16 inch 5x114.3.
- 57XR-X: the 57XR for trucks, 17 inch 6x139.7.
- 57TR-X: the off-road wheel that replaced the 57TransX, 18x9.
- 57TransX: the earlier off-road wheel, 18 and 20 inch, plus the Rev Limit Edition and Overseas Model.
- 57DR-X 2122: a limited Arms Gray 57DR-X.
- 57ANA-X: the 20-inch Azure wheel for 6x139.7 trucks.

How Gram Lights are made
Every Gram Lights is a one-piece cast wheel made in Japan by RAYS. The 57DR, 57CR and 57NR are certified to JWL+R Spec 1, RAYS' own strength standard that goes past the basic Japanese JWL test, and the six-lug 57DR-X, 57XR-X and 57TR-X also meet the JWL-T truck standard. The 57FXZ is the one model built with RAYS' RCF process, where the barrel is flow formed after casting to take weight out.

Gram Lights questions
Who makes Gram Lights wheels?
RAYS, in Japan. RAYS also makes Volk Racing, and Gram Lights is its cast line.
Are Gram Lights forged?
No. Every Gram Lights wheel is cast in one piece. The 57FXZ adds a flow formed barrel (RAYS calls it RCF) to save weight, but it's still a cast wheel.
Gram Lights or Volk Racing?
Both come from RAYS. Volk Racing is the top-shelf line; Gram Lights takes the same motorsport thinking into cast wheels that cost less, so you can run them hard at the track and replace one without wincing.
Which Gram Lights is best for drift and track?
The R series: the 57DR, 57CR, 57XR and 57NR. They come in the widths and offsets drift and time attack cars need, like 18x9.5 and 18x10.5, and they're easy to match when you need another.
Which Gram Lights fit trucks and SUVs?
The 57DR-X and 57XR-X for six-lug trucks, the 57TR-X for 4x4s, and the five-lug 57DR-X2 for SUVs.
