- Have the right coolant type and enough of it on hand, plus a drain pan.
- Let the engine cool fully before opening the system.
Do
- Bleed the air out fully and re-check the level after the first warm-up.
- Check the hoses and clamps for weeping after the first drive.

- Don't open the system while it is hot.
