ULTRAMAX AS

Summit Ultramax AS tires: passenger-car sizes that keep the bill sensible

Summit Ultramax AS tires are a budget-minded option built around the common passenger-car dimensions, and the sizes we carry stay firmly in the compact-to-midsize range. This page covers the one tread pattern; if you want the wider Summit range, the Summit brand hub collects it in one place, and you can browse everything we stock across all tires.

The sizes we stock

We carry the Ultramax AS in 13-, 14-, 15-, 16- and 17-inch rim diameters, weighted heavily toward 15- and 16-inch fitments. Representative sizes include 175/70R13, 185/70R14, 195/70R14, 185/60R15, 195/65R15, 205/65R16, 215/60R16 and 225/50R17. Concrete examples on the shelf are the 185/60R15 at $86 and the 185/65R15 at $92 on the smaller end, with the 215/60R16 at $119 and the 225/50R17 at $126 toward the top. You can also cross-shop popular dimensions on our 185/60R15, 185/65R15 and 215/60R16 size pages. Consider this the range we carry, not the model's full size range.

Speed and load ratings

Across the sizes we stock, speed ratings run H, T, V and W. Load index values span from 82 up to 102, so lighter compact fitments and more heavily loaded sizes are both represented. Service descriptions include 82T, 88H, 91V, 94H, 96H, 97W and 102T, giving you a clear read on the rating carried by each size before you buy.

Price band and who it suits

Ultramax AS pricing runs from about $83 to $137, which puts it among the more affordable choices we list. It suits drivers of compact and midsize cars who want a straightforward replacement without a premium price. If you need something different, the Ultramax HP AS is a step up in the same family, the Trail Climber HT and Trail Climber SUV move toward truck and SUV sizes, and the Hi-Road ST covers a different use entirely.
