Radiator Stays
Radiator Stays: The Small Bracket That Holds Your Cooling in Place
A radiator stay is the bracket that locates the top of your radiator and pins it to the core support so it stays put. On a lot of platforms the factory uses a stamped or plastic mount that cracks, sags, or gets tossed when someone swaps in a bigger core. Aftermarket radiator stays replace that with a solid piece that holds the radiator square and keeps hoses and the fan shroud where they belong. If you have upgraded to a thicker radiator, this is the part that makes it sit right instead of leaning against the fan.
What we stock
There are 9 radiator stays in stock right now, spread across 3 brands: Mishimoto makes up most of the range with 7 of the 9, alongside one from Turbo XS and one from BLOX Racing. Prices currently run from $34 to $68 - that is the live range for what is on the shelf, not a standing promise.
Coverage leans toward Subaru and Honda, with fitment data pointing at the Subaru Impreza, Subaru WRX and Honda Civic across model years from 1992 to 2016, plus a Ford Mustang set in the lineup. Concrete examples: the Turbo XS 15-16 WRX/STI billet aluminum stay in blue at the top of the range, the Mishimoto 15+ Impreza WRX aluminum stay in black, the Mishimoto 97-04 Mustang stay set, and the BLOX Racing 92-95 Civic stay at the bottom.
How to choose
Start with fitment - a radiator stay is platform-specific, so the first filter is your make, model and year. After that the choice is mostly about color and how much you want to spend. The BLOX Civic piece is the budget end here; the Turbo XS billet WRX/STI stay sits at the top. Some listings, like the Mustang, are sold as a set of two, so check whether you need one bracket or a pair for your car. Billet and aluminum construction are the materials described in the product names - pick the finish that matches the rest of your bay.
What else you need with it
A stay earns its keep when it is holding an upgraded core, so most buyers here are also shopping Radiators. While you are in the cooling system, it is worth checking Fittings and Adapters for hose routing. If you are deeper into an engine build, browse the rest of the Engine Components section, including Head Gaskets and Gasket Kits.
