Cooling Plates
Cooling Plates: Close the gap and force air through the radiator
Cooling plates are simple panels that mount above and around the radiator to seal the gap between the core and the front bumper opening. Without one, air arriving through the grille takes the path of least resistance and spills around the radiator instead of passing through it. A fitted plate closes that escape route, so more of the incoming air is pushed through the fins where it can actually do work. People fit them on hard-driven and track cars where every degree of coolant temperature matters, and the panel doubles as a cleaner-looking engine bay dress-up piece.
What we stock
This is a focused category: 4 cooling plates currently in stock from 2 brands, Seibon and Cusco. Prices run from $166.70 to $564.97, which is the current range for what is on the shelf, not a standing offer. Every listed plate is a vehicle-specific part with fitment data attached, covering model years from 2001 to 2024. Applications on hand cover Toyota, Nissan and Subaru - specifically the Toyota GR Corolla, Nissan Z and Subaru Impreza.
How to choose
The split here is straightforward and mostly comes down to material and vehicle. The Seibon plates for the 23-24 GR Corolla are carbon fiber and sit at the top of the range, offered in a gloss CP23TYGRCOR and a matte finish version - the only difference between those two is the surface, so pick on looks. The Cusco plate for the GDA/GDB Impreza in blue sits at the bottom of the range at $166.70. Because these are all application-specific, the first filter is your car, not your budget - buy the plate cut for your chassis and the finish decides the rest.
What else you need with it
A cooling plate seals air to the radiator, so it works best alongside the cooling parts around it. If your core is tired, look at Radiators before you seal air to an old one. Fresh Fittings and Adapters keep coolant and oil lines tidy while you have the front end apart. If you are deeper into an engine refresh, browse Head Gaskets, Gasket Kits and Pistons in the same section. All of it lives under Engine Components.
