Backbone
Konig Backbone: A Clean Split-Spoke Monoblock for Tuner Builds
The Konig Backbone is a monoblock wheel with a split-spoke face and a milled logo on the spoke, built for compact and sport-import builds that want a tidy, aggressive look without going loud. It sits in the affordable, fitment-friendly end of the Konig lineup, with sizes aimed squarely at daily drivers, autocross cars and street builds running common tuner bolt patterns.
Sizes and Fitments in Stock
The Backbone is stocked from 15 to 18 inches, in widths of 6.5, 7, 7.5 and 8, with offsets of 35, 38, 40 and 45. Bolt patterns cover 4x100, 5x100 and 5x114.3, so it works on everything from older Civics and Miatas to modern Corollas and many 5x114.3 imports.
Concrete examples: the 18x8 +35 in 5x114.3 is the most aggressive fitment stocked, while the 18x8 +45 tucks in more for a conservative stance. In 17s, the 4x100 17x7.5 +45 and the 5x100 17x7.5 +45 cover the two common four- and five-lug tuner patterns. For a lighter, cheaper setup the 4x100 16x7 +40 is a solid daily choice.
Finish
The Backbone comes in Matte Black Milling Logo on Spoke, where the machined logo cuts through the matte finish for contrast. If you want to browse the wider matte-and-dark range, see our black Konig wheels; brighter options live under silver Konig wheels and bronze Konig wheels.
Price and Who It Suits
Backbone pricing runs from $327 to $510 per wheel depending on size, which keeps it in reach for a first set on a budget import build. If you like the split-spoke idea but want alternatives, the Ampliform and Hexaform offer different face treatments, the Dekagram and Hypergram lean lighter and more track-focused, and the Control and Lace give you mesh and multi-spoke alternatives in the same value bracket.
