Holistic Engineering - the ICON Difference: When developing suspension components for a new vehicle, ICON takes a different approach than many others. Rather than focusing in on one particular part, ICON engineers look at the vehicle as a whole, identify inherent strengths and weaknesses, and set a target for performance. With a focus on maximizing wheel travel and improving ride quality, ICON will develop components that address (and often times replace) OE limiting factors. This "holistic engineering" philosophy often results in the development of several parts designed to work together as a system to provide a balanced on and off-road performance upgrade. Because ICON is designing and manufacturing all of the components necessary to improve the performance of a vehicle from front to back, end-users can rest easy knowing they are dealing with ONE manufacturer, ONE standard of quality, and ONE awesome warranty to back it all up.
The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 1 2.5" Suspension System for the 2018-UP Wrangler JL is designed for the driver looking to drastically improve the performance and ride quality of their vehicle. The Stage 1 system is ICON's entry level offering for Jeep enthusiasts looking to add lift height and wheel travel to their JL without breaking the bank. This system includes 2.5" lift dual rate coil springs, Vehicle Specific 2.0 Aluminum Series shocks, bump stop spacers, sway bar links, and all necessary hardware to complete the installation. With this combination of components, ICON was able to increase wheel travel numbers by over 30% (3" front, 2" rear), redefining the potential of the 2018-UP JL. The Stage 1 system allows for fitment of 35" tires when used with ICON's recommended wheel specifications. For users looking to install 37" tires, an optional extended bump stop spacer kit (PN: 22029) is available.
Through an accelerated testing process dubbed the “ICON1K” R&D program, ICON has logged over a thousand miles in the dirt pushing the JL to off-road extremes to identify limiting factors in OE components, develop products that remove these limits, and further extrapolate performance out of this vehicle. This 2.5” suspension system has been tweaked, tuned, and revised several times over the course of this ICON1K testing in an effort to provide unparalleled ride quality and vehicle dynamics for everything from rock crawling to high-speed desert running.
2018-UP JEEP JL 2.5" LIFT STAGE 1 SUSPENSION SYSTEM

ICON 2018+ Jeep Jl 2.5in Stage 1 Suspension System - K22011 FAQ
It is listed for: 2021 Jeep Wrangler; 2018-2022 Jeep Wrangler; 2021 Jeep Wrangler and more (see the full list above). Pick your vehicle on this page to check your exact year and trim.
The maker's installation guide is on this page — see Installation guide under the part details for the step-by-step and the torque figures. Work on level ground with the car properly supported, and torque every fastener to the maker's figure. If the job is beyond your tools, any shop that does this kind of work can fit it.
Yes. Any change in ride height changes the alignment; set it once the kit is on and the truck has been driven a short distance.
The maker states the largest tire the kit is designed to clear; going larger can need trimming or more lift. Wider wheels with less backspacing also change what clears.
Taller lifts change the angles of the driveshaft and CV joints, and kits made for that height include the parts to correct them when needed. A leveling kit that raises the front a small amount usually does not.
A leveling kit raises the front to match the rear and keeps the stock springs and shocks, so the ride stays close to stock. Larger lifts with new springs change the ride more.
Some kits reuse the stock shocks and some include or call for longer ones; the Part details and the maker's guide on this page say which.
Trucks with headlight leveling, adaptive cruise or a forward camera may need those systems re-aimed after the height changes.

Install and care: lift kits
Before you start
- Read the maker's guide for the tire size it clears and whether longer shocks or driveline parts are called for.
- Book an alignment and, on trucks with cameras or adaptive cruise, a re-aim of those systems.
Do
- Torque every bolt to the maker's figure and re-check after the first drive.
- Align the truck once the height has settled.
Don't
- Don't run a larger tire than the kit is made for without checking the clearance.
- Don't skip the driveline parts the maker says a taller lift needs.
