The Torq Thrust is the five-spoke that defined the classic muscle car look, and it still looks right on everything from a '57 Bel Air to a C10. Below are the Torq Thrust versions we carry, from the original-look TT O to the bigger Torq Thrust II and the modern-size Torq Thrust M. Pick your bolt pattern and size in the grid, then use the guide underneath to sort out which version suits your build.

American Racing Vintage VN215 CLASSIC TORQ THRUST II
This is the Classic Torq Thrust II in mag gray with a machined lip, the gray-spoke look most people picture when they hear Torq Thrust. It covers 14x6 all the way to 22x11, including 15x10, 18x10 and 20x10 for wide rears, in 5x114.3, 5x120.65, 5x127 and 5x139.7. That spread makes it the easiest Torq Thrust to build a staggered set from on a Mopar, Chevy, C10 or Bronco. Gray hides brake dust better than polished or chrome, but the machined lip still needs a wipe to stay bright.

American Racing Vintage VN615 TORQ THRUST II 1 PC
The one-piece Torq Thrust II in full chrome. Sizes run 14x6 to 20x10, with 15x10 and 18x10 for wide rears, in 5x114.3, 5x120.65, 5x127 and 5x139.7. Pick it over the VN215 when you want the whole wheel to shine instead of gray spokes. Chrome looks great on show cars, but road salt and harsh cleaners are hard on it.

American Racing Vintage VN515 TORQ THRUST II 1 PC
The same one-piece Torq Thrust II shape, finished in polished aluminum. It's offered from 14x6 up to 22x9 and 22x11, so it works on a stock-height Chevelle or a big-wheel C10 or Bronco build in 5x139.7. Polished has a warmer, softer shine than chrome. It needs regular polishing to stay bright, or it slowly dulls.

American Racing AR105 TORQ THRUST M
The Torq Thrust M is the modern-size version, with sizes from 16x7 to 18x9 and bolt patterns like 5x100, 5x110, 5x115 and 5x120 that the vintage models don't offer. It comes in anthracite or gloss black, both with a machined lip, which gives it a darker, more current look than the Vintage line. It suits newer cars that want a Torq Thrust nod without going retro chrome. In-stock sizes in the newer bolt patterns are limited, so check your exact car in the fitment search first.

American Racing Vintage VN105 TORQ THRUST D
The Torq Thrust D in satin black or Torq Thrust gray, both with a machined lip. It sticks to classic diameters, 14x6 to 16x8, plus 15x8.5 and 15x10 for rear width, in 5x114.3, 5x120.65 and 5x127. Choose it over the Torq Thrust II if you want the period-correct small-wheel look on a stock-height muscle car or C10. It tops out at 16 inch, so it's not the pick for big brakes.

American Racing AR605 TORQ THRUST M
The chrome version of the Torq Thrust M, sized 16x7 to 18x10 in 5x100, 5x114.3, 5x115, 5x120, 5x120.65 and 5x127. It's the one to grab when you want a modern Torq Thrust that shines rather than the darker AR105 finishes. The 18x10 gives you a wide rear option the AR105 doesn't have. As with the AR105, confirm your exact car in the fitment search, since newer-car sizes are limited.

American Racing Vintage VN505 TORQ THRUST II
A polished Torq Thrust II offered in 15x7 to 18x8, with a 17x9.5 and a 17x11 for serious rear width. It comes in 5x114.3, 5x120.65 and 5x127, so it covers Mopar, GM and C10 patterns. The 17x11 is the standout here if you're stuffing big rubber under a 17-inch build. Polished means keeping up with a little metal polish to keep the shine.

American Racing Vintage VN309 TT O
The TT O is the original Torq Thrust look, and the VN309 does it in vintage silver with a machined lip. Sizes are 15x7, 15x8.5, 17x7 and 17x8 in 5x114.3, 5x120.65, 5x127 and 5x139.7. It's the more subdued TT O, a good match for a resto build where bright polish would look too new. Size choices are tight, so it's best for mild square or slightly staggered setups.

American Racing Vintage VN109 TT O
The polished TT O, with the same original-style shape as the VN309. It comes in 15x7, 15x8.5, 17x7 and 17x8 in 5x114.3, 5x120.65 and 5x127. Choose it over the VN309 if you want bright bare aluminum instead of silver paint. There's no 5x139.7 option, so Bronco and F-100 owners should look at the VN309.

American Racing Vintage VN605 TORQ THRUST D
The chrome Torq Thrust D, offered only in 15 inch: 15x6, 15x7, 15x8 and 15x10. It fits 5x114.3, 5x120.65 and 5x127 cars. A 15x7 front with a 15x10 rear is the classic drag-stance pairing this wheel was made for. It's a 15-inch-only wheel, so make sure your brakes clear before you order.

American Racing Vintage CLASSIC TORQ THRUST II
A Classic Torq Thrust II in Torq Thrust gray with a polished lip, a brighter lip than the machined VN215. The size list is unusual: 15x12, 17x8 and 18x11, in 5x114.3 and 5x120.65. That 15x12 and 18x11 make it the widest rear option on this page. Wheels that wide almost always need tub or fender work, so measure first.

American Racing Vintage VN915 CLASSIC TORQ THRUST II
The Classic Torq Thrust II in PVD, a bright chrome-look finish. It's a 15-inch wheel only, in 15x6 and 15x10, for 5x114.3 and 5x120.65. That's a ready-made narrow-front, wide-rear set for a Mopar or GM drag-style build. With just two sizes, it's a set you buy for that one look.

American Racing Vintage TORQ THRUST II
A polished Torq Thrust II in 20x9.5, in 5x120.65 only. It's for GM classics like a Camaro, Chevelle or Impala going to a big-wheel pro-touring stance. Polished at 20 inches is a lot of shiny aluminum, which is the point. With one size, you'll need to pair it with another Torq Thrust II if you want a staggered set.

American Racing Vintage VN315 TORQ THRUST II 1 PC
The one-piece Torq Thrust II in gloss black with a machined lip, sized 22x11 in 5x127. It's a big, dark take on the Torq Thrust for a 5x127 build like a 2WD C10. The black finish gives it a more modern, aggressive look than the polished or chrome one-piece wheels. At 22x11, check fender and tire clearance before committing.

American Racing Torq Thrust Wheels: Which Version Is Which
American Racing has built the Torq Thrust in a lot of versions, and the names blur together fast. They all share the same five-spoke idea. The differences come down to spoke shape, finish, and how big the sizes go. Here's how the versions in our catalog line up.
| Version | Models | Finishes | Size range |
|---|---|---|---|
| TT O (original look) | VN109, VN309 | Polished; vintage silver with machined lip | 15x7, 15x8.5, 17x7, 17x8 |
| Torq Thrust D | VN105, VN605 | Satin black or Torq Thrust gray with machined lip; chrome | 14x6 to 16x8, plus 15x10 |
| Torq Thrust II | VN505, 20x9.5 polished | Polished | 15x7 to 18x8, plus 17x11 and 20x9.5 |
| Torq Thrust II 1 PC | VN515, VN615, VN315 | Polished; chrome; gloss black with machined lip | 14x6 to 22x11 |
| Classic Torq Thrust II | VN215, VN915, Classic Torq Thrust II | Mag gray with machined lip; PVD; Torq Thrust gray with polished lip | 14x6 to 22x11, plus 15x12 and 18x11 |
| Torq Thrust M | AR105, AR605 | Anthracite or gloss black with machined lip; chrome | 16x7 to 18x10 |
How to choose
- Want the old-school look on a stock-height car? Go TT O or Torq Thrust D in 15 inch. They're the closest to what was on these cars back in the day.
- Restomod with bigger brakes? The Torq Thrust II, either the polished one-piece VN515 or the gray VN215 Classic, gets you 17, 18, 20 and even 22 inch while keeping the look.
- Truck or Bronco on 5x139.7? Stick with the VN215, VN615, VN515 or VN309. Those are the only versions here offered in that pattern.
- Newer car? The chrome Torq Thrust M and the AR105 are the modern-size versions, with bolt patterns like 5x100, 5x110, 5x115 and 5x120. In-stock sizes there are limited, so check your exact car in the fitment search.
Torq Thrust Finishes
- Polished: bare aluminum buffed to a bright, slightly warm shine. It looks period-correct but needs metal polish now and then.
- Chrome: a mirror finish with a cooler, bluer tone than polished. It's the full show-car look. Keep it away from harsh wheel cleaners.
- PVD: a bright chrome-look coating, offered on the VN915.
- Mag gray or Torq Thrust gray with machined or polished lip: the classic gray spokes with a bright outer ring. It's the easiest to live with daily since gray hides brake dust.
- Vintage silver with machined lip: a softer silver paint that suits a restored car where polish would look too fresh.
- Satin black, gloss black or anthracite with machined lip: the darker, more modern take. Satin black on the Torq Thrust D looks great on a C10 or a black-trim muscle car.
Torq Thrust Sizes: 14 to 22 Inch
The 14 and 15 inch sizes are the classic look, with a tall tire sidewall. Most versions on this page come in 15 inch, so that's where you have the most choice of style and finish.
17 inch Torq Thrust wheels
17 inch is the middle ground. It clears more brake than a 15 and still runs a decent sidewall. You can get it in TT O, Torq Thrust II, Classic Torq Thrust II and Torq Thrust M, in widths from 17x7 up to the 17x11 VN505. Check out the polished 17x11 VN505 in 5x114.3 if you need a wide 17 rear.
20 inch Torq Thrust wheels
At 20 inch, your choices are the VN215 and VN615 in 20x8 and 20x10, the VN515 in 20x8, and a polished Torq Thrust II in 20x9.5 for 5x120.65. The chrome 20x10 VN615 in 5x120.65 is a good place to start for a GM pro-touring rear. If you want to go bigger, 22x9 and 22x11 are offered in the VN215 and VN515, and 22x11 in the black VN315.
15x10 Torq Thrust wheels and other wide rears
A narrow 15 up front and a 15x10 out back is the classic drag-car stance. You can build that set with the VN215, VN615, VN105, VN605 and VN915. For example, the 15x10 VN915 in PVD for 5x120.65 runs a -44 offset, and the mag gray 15x10 VN215 for 5x127 is also -44. That much negative offset pushes the wheel out a lot, so measure your rear wheel well before you buy. Wider still, the Classic Torq Thrust II offers 15x12 and 18x11, and the VN505 has a 17x11. Those usually mean tub or fender work.
Which Classic Cars Each Bolt Pattern Fits
| Bolt pattern | Classic cars it fits | Torq Thrust versions offered |
|---|---|---|
| 5x114.3 | 1966 and 1970 Ford Mustang (some are 4x114.3); 1969 Dodge Charger; 1970 Dodge Challenger; 1970 Plymouth Road Runner and Cuda | TT O, Torq Thrust D, Torq Thrust II, Classic Torq Thrust II, Torq Thrust M |
| 5x120.65 | 1969 Chevrolet Camaro; 1970 Chevelle; 1969 Nova; 1964 Impala; 1957 Bel Air; 1965 and 1972 Corvette; 1967 Pontiac GTO; 1969 Firebird | TT O, Torq Thrust D, Torq Thrust II, Classic Torq Thrust II, Torq Thrust M |
| 5x127 | 1972 and 1985 Chevrolet C10 2WD | TT O, Torq Thrust D, Torq Thrust II, Torq Thrust II 1 PC (incl. VN315), Torq Thrust M |
| 5x139.7 | 1970 Ford Bronco and F-100 | VN215, VN615, VN515, VN309 |
Early Mustangs are the catch. Some run 4x114.3, which none of these wheels come in, so confirm yours before ordering. You can also browse every wheel in 5x114.3, every GM 5x120.65 option, or the 5x127 lineup for C10s.
Offset and Backspacing on Old Cars
Bolt pattern is only step one. Classic cars vary by year, engine, brakes and suspension, and two cars from the same year can need different wheels. Most old-car guides talk in backspacing, while wheel listings show offset. Use the offset and backspacing converter to compare what's on your car now with the wheel you're eyeing.
Watch the offsets on the product cards. The vintage wheels run from about zero down to deep negative numbers on the wide 15s, which tucks the mounting face toward the outside. The Torq Thrust M runs positive offsets like +35 and +45, built for newer cars. Mixing those up is the fastest way to end up with wheels that rub or poke. Check your exact car in the fitment search before you order.
How the Torq Thrust M Looks on a Challenger
Our customers' builds show how well this design works on a modern muscle car. Owners of 2010 to 2017 Challengers run the Torq Thrust M at 20 inch, most often 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear, with 245 to 275 front tires and a flush stance. Others go square with 20x8.5 or 20x10 at all four corners, and one 2010 Challenger runs 22x9.5 all around in anthracite. The five spokes fill out the big wheel wells and the machined lip ties in with the chrome trim.
The Torq Thrust M sizes we list right now top out at 18 inch, and the newer-car bolt patterns are only offered in a few sizes. So don't take those builds as a guarantee that what's in the grid fits your car. Run your exact year and trim through the fitment search.
Buying Tips
- Order a staggered set as two pairs: narrow fronts, wide rears, same bolt pattern and finish.
- Stick to one version per car. Torq Thrust D and Torq Thrust II spokes look different side by side.
- Lug nuts and hub fit matter on old cars. Confirm what your wheels need before install day.
- Not set on a Torq Thrust? Compare other five-spoke designs or our full classic car wheel selection.

What's the difference between Torq Thrust II and Torq Thrust D?

Do you have 15x10 Torq Thrust wheels?
Yes, 15x10 is offered in the VN215, VN615, VN105, VN605 and VN915. They pair with a 15x6, 15x7 or 15x8 front for a classic staggered stance.
