Method Race Wheels
Method Race wheels: purpose-built hardware for trucks and off-road rigs
Method Race wheels earned their name doing the job most wheels only pose for. The brand is known for wheels that hold up to real off-road abuse - desert running, overlanding, rock work - without the fashion-first shortcuts you find in a lot of the market. When you pick up a Method, the first thing you notice is the weight and the finish work: these are tools first, jewelry second. ThreePiece.us stocks the range as an authorized Method Race dealer.
The lineup
The models we carry each solve a different problem. Below is what actually separates them from their siblings - not the badge, the build.
- 305BZ NV - The NV pattern in 18-inch, dressed in Method Bronze. This is the aggressive, negative-offset side of the range; the sample we stock is an 18x9 at -12 in 6x139.7 for $385. If you want the NV look poked out with a warmer finish, this is it.
- 305MB NV - Same NV DNA, but stepped down to a 17-inch and finished machined with a matte black lip. The 17x8.5 +0 in 6x139.7 runs $315, making it the value entry into the NV family - a taller sidewall and a two-tone face instead of the monochrome bronze.
- 318B - A clean, gloss black 17-inch in the 6x135 pattern. Where the NV wheels lean concave and busy, the 318B is a simpler, tidier face. The 17x8.5 +0 lists at $319.
- 605B NV - The heavy-duty end. A 20-inch in the 8x170 eight-lug pattern, matte black, built for the bigger trucks that need it. The 20x9 -12 is $439 - the priciest and largest in this group, and the only 8-lug we list here.
- 703BZ Bead Grip - The oddball, and the most specialized. A 16-inch 5x130 in Method Bronze with Method's Bead Grip technology, which bites the tire bead for better retention at low pressures without a full beadlock ring. The 16x6 +68 runs $388.69 - a narrow, high-positive wheel with a very different job than the rest.
That's the visible slice; the broader Method catalog runs deep into MR301 The Standard, MR305, the MR701 family, and dedicated UTV beadlock and rally lines.
Construction and finishes
Every wheel in this group is monoblock - one piece of cast aluminum, not a bolted multi-piece. That's the honest choice for a wheel that's going to see rocks and ruts: fewer parts, fewer failure points, easier to trust off pavement. Method's Bead Grip on the 703BZ adds a tire-retention feature at the bead without the weight and rebuild-kit maintenance of a true beadlock.
Across the models here you'll find four finishes: Gloss Black, Matte Black, Machined - Matte Black Lip, and Method Bronze. The bronze is the signature look; the machined lip gives you a two-tone face; the two blacks keep it plain and easy to match.
Price and who it's for
This group runs from $315 to $439 per wheel. That's mid-market - more than a generic cast wheel, less than a forged monoblock - and it buys you a wheel engineered for actual off-road duty rather than curb appeal alone. If you drive a truck, run trails, or build an overland rig and want hardware that won't flinch, Method is squarely aimed at you.
