Engine Hardware: the fasteners that hold your build together
Engine hardware is the studs, bolts, pins, nuts and fastening kits that clamp your components in place and keep them there under heat and vibration. A stud kit on an intake manifold gives you even, repeatable torque and a cleaner install than reusing tired original bolts. A drill pin kit or a complete hardware kit means you're not chasing a missing fastener halfway through a job. It's unglamorous, but the right hardware is the difference between a joint that holds and one that weeps, loosens or strips.
What ThreePiece stocks
This category currently shows 30 products from 10 brands, with prices from $5 to $218 - the current range for what's in stock, not a fixed promise. The brand mix is led by Vibrant and DEI, with ARP, Haltech, Perrin Performance, Fluidampr, BLOX Racing, Skunk2 Racing, S&S Cycle and Bike Master also represented. Concrete examples include the Haltech LSU4.9 Wideband Hardware Pack near the top of the range, the Skunk2 Ultra Street B-Series Complete Hardware Kit, the Fluidampr Drill Pin Kit, the BLOX Racing SUS303 Stainless Steel Intake Manifold Stud Kit, and the S&S Cycle 2017 M8 Bore Hardware Kit.
How to choose
Start with the job. If you're replacing a specific set of fasteners on one component - say an intake manifold - a dedicated stud kit like the BLOX Racing piece gives you the exact thread, length and count. If you're doing a full assembly, a complete hardware kit such as the Skunk2 unit saves you sourcing individual parts. Sensor and accessory installs have their own packs, like the Haltech wideband hardware. The price spread mostly tracks how much is in the box: a positive locking tie pack sits low, a full engine hardware kit sits higher. Match the part to what you're actually torquing, and confirm thread size and length before you order.
What else you need
Hardware rarely goes in alone. If you're opening the engine, pair it with the right gasket kits and head gaskets so nothing gets reused past its life. Rotating-assembly work brings in bearings and pistons. Plumbing and fuel jobs lean on fittings, adapters and fuel pumps. Browse the full Engine Components section to see how the categories line up.
Fitment and ordering
Fitment data here is limited - only one product lists a specific vehicle, a 2017 Harley-Davidson M8. Most hardware is chosen by thread spec and application rather than by vehicle, so check the size and count against your parts. If you're unsure, call our fitment line at 813-535-5801 or reach us through contact us. All orders ship with free shipping, and Affirm and Katapult financing is available at checkout via financing.
