Throttle Assembly for Motorcycles and Dirt Bikes

A throttle assembly is the twist grip housing on the right side of the handlebar. When you roll it open, it pulls the throttle cable and tells the engine how much power you want. Riders replace it when the housing is cracked after a fall, when the action feels sticky or rough, or when a worn unit no longer snaps back cleanly. A smooth, consistent throttle makes the bike easier to control.

We currently have 2 throttle assembly products in stock, one from Bikers Choice and one from ProTaper. For Harley-Davidson riders there is the Bikers Choice Big Twin and XL Throttle Assembly, which comes without grips. Off-road riders can look at the ProTaper KTM/Husqvarna Twister Assembly.

  • Confirm the part is listed for your make and model.
  • Check whether grips are included or need to be bought separately.
  • Make sure it works with your existing throttle cable setup.
  • Look at how it fits your handlebar and nearby controls.
