Install and care: intercooler

Before you start

  • Check the maker's guide for any bumper or crash-bar trimming it calls for.
  • Lay out the couplers and clamps against What's in the box.

Do

  • Seat the couplers fully and tighten the clamps evenly; re-check them after the first drive.
  • Keep the core clean of road grime so the air passes through.

Don't

  • Don't drive with a coupler half-seated; it will blow off under boost.
  • Don't pressure-wash the core at close range; it bends the fins.
