The Exedy OE Slave Cylinder (part SC825) is a clutch slave cylinder for the 1990-2005 Mazda Miata L4. The fit list covers the Base (1990-2005), SE (1991-2003), LS (2000-2005), M Edition (1994-1997) and Mazdaspeed (2004-2005), and more.
The slave cylinder is the hydraulic actuator that takes fluid pressure from the master cylinder and pushes the clutch release fork or bearing. When its seals wear you get a soft pedal, a dragging clutch, or fluid weeping past the piston, and the clutch stops fully disengaging. This is a complete slave cylinder rather than a rebuild kit, which is the simple route when the unit is a sealed OE design.
