Cobb Ford Focus ST SS 3in Catback Exhaust - 591100 FAQ

Install and care: cat-back exhaust

Before you start

  • Soak the factory flange bolts and hangers in penetrating oil the day before.
  • Lay out the sections and clamps against What's in the box before anything goes under the car.

Do

  • Hang the whole system loosely first, line it up, then tighten the clamps from the front back.
  • Check for leaks at every joint with the engine running before the final tightening.

Don't

  • Don't tighten any clamp fully until the whole system hangs straight.
  • Don't reuse a crushed or torn factory gasket.
