Read before you buy
- Our engineers focused their attention on tuning the low speed compression characteristics of this shock absorber, which is responsible for controlling your Sport Truck or SUV's pitch and roll
- Low friction sealing and guide system? creates a quick reacting damper that is sensitive to the smallest of motions with little to no temperature increase during extreme damper conditions
- Large 45mm body diameters and twin tube design allow for larger oil volume and better heat dissipation leading to increased shock life
- Steel dust cover adds protection for the piston rod, sealing system, and does not deteriorate from UV exposure or chemicals
- Progressive rebound tuning complements large aftermarket wheels, keeping the ride smooth but firm and in control

Belltech SHOCK ABSORBER STREET PERFORMANCE - 2208FF FAQ
The maker's installation guide is on this page — see Installation guide under the part details for the step-by-step and the torque figures. Work on level ground with the car properly supported, and torque every fastener to the maker's figure. If the job is beyond your tools, any shop that does this kind of work can fit it.
Yes. Replace both fronts or both rears together so each axle damps evenly.
Struts that bolt to the knuckle set camber, so an alignment is wise after replacing them. Rear shocks that only bolt to the axle or arm usually do not change the alignment.
Bouncing after bumps, nose-dive under braking, uneven tire wear and fluid on the shock body are the usual signs.
Only when the listing says they are made for it. A stock-length shock on a lowered or lifted car runs near the end of its travel and wears early.
Check the top mounts and bump stops while the strut is out; worn ones are usually replaced at the same time.
