This is the BC Racing DS-Series coilover kit, part number R-07-DS-DS, for the 2001-2006 Lexus LS430 in Base trim.
A coilover combines the spring and the damper into one threaded-body unit that replaces the factory strut or shock. Because the spring perch threads along the body, you set ride height by turning the collar instead of swapping parts. People fit coilovers to lower the car, tighten body roll, and get more alignment and corner-balancing room than stock suspension allows.
