Upgrade your stopping power without breaking the bank with the Baer Big Claw brake kit. The Big Claw kit includes a pair of larger than stock diameter rotors (up to 2 inches larger on some applications) that are purpose cast with directional cooling vanes, along with a pair of new caliper relocation brackets to move the calipers outward to accommodate the larger rotors while maintaining OE Pad and hardware fitment. Independent third-party testing showed up to a 49% gain in braking effectiveness due to the increased brake torque and leverage from the larger diameter rotors, along with as much as a 200-degree reduction in brake rotor temperatures vs OE in extreme conditions due in part to the curved vane design. Together, these equal improved stopping distances, reduced brake fade and enhanced braking confidence all at a fraction of the cost of other leading replacement kits. *** Because of the abundance of wheel companies and styles, it is impossible for Baer to guarantee the fit of the Big Claw rotors into a specific wheel. To verify fitment, we recommend using the template specific to the system you are interested in and compare it to the wheel of choice, including spare tire/wheel.***

The maker's installation guide is on this page — see Installation guide under the part details for the step-by-step and the torque figures. Work on level ground with the car properly supported, and torque every fastener to the maker's figure. If the job is beyond your tools, any shop that does this kind of work can fit it.
Yes. A series of firm slowdowns from moderate speed, without coming to a stop, lays an even layer of pad material on the rotor. Follow the maker's bed-in steps.
New pads on worn or grooved rotors bed poorly and can squeal; if the rotors are worn or lipped, replace both.
Not for a pad or rotor change. Calipers or lines open the system, so it has to be bled, and fresh fluid is the normal choice then.
Larger calipers and rotors need wheel clearance. The Part details list the minimum wheel size when the maker states it, and the maker's clearance template settles any doubt.
Usually incomplete bed-in, missing shims or anti-squeal paste, or an aggressive compound. Bed them in and check the hardware first.
Pads and rotors are a common home job with jack stands, a torque wrench and the right sockets. Calipers and lines need bleeding, so a shop is the safer choice if you have not bled brakes before.
