Plugs

Plugs: seal off the ports you're not running

Plugs do one job and do it cleanly: they close an unused threaded or flare port so it holds pressure and doesn't weep. When you're plumbing a fuel system, an oil setup or a coolant circuit and you've got an extra AN port, an ORB boss or an NPT bung you don't need, a plug caps it off. Same story on a blow-off or diverter valve outlet you want to block. Fit one, torque it, and that opening is done - no fluid loss, no vacuum leak, no rag stuffed in a fitting hoping it holds.

What's stocked here

There are 23 plugs in stock in this category, priced from $20 to $39 currently - that range moves with what's on the shelf, so treat it as a snapshot, not a promise. Four brands are represented: Vibrant leads the count with 12, Fragola follows with 7, DeatschWerks has 3, and Go Fast Bits covers one specific application.

The mix spans the common port types. The Fragola -12AN socket hex port plug in black and the Fragola -10AN socket hex port plug handle AN port bosses with an internal hex drive. For flare and pipe sealing, the Vibrant -12AN aluminum flare plugs and the Vibrant 3/4in NPT aluminum pipe plugs cover flare-nut and threaded pipe bungs. The DeatschWerks 8AN ORB male plug is a low-profile internal-hex design that ships with its O-ring for ORB bosses, and the GFB screw-in plug threads into GFB trumpet or plumb-back valve outlets.

How to choose

Match the plug to the port, not the other way round. Work out whether you have an AN flare, an ORB (O-ring boss) or an NPT pipe thread first - they don't interchange, and the seal method differs. ORB plugs like the DeatschWerks unit seal on an O-ring against a flat, so they come apart and go back together without tape. NPT plugs seal on the taper of the thread itself. Flare plugs cap a male AN flare nut. Then size it: -8, -10, -12 and 3/4in NPT are all represented here. Color and drive style are the lesser call - internal hex plugs sit lower and clear tight spaces better than external-wrench designs. The GFB plug is the odd one out: it's application-specific to GFB valves, so only reach for it if that's what you're blanking.

What else you'll need

Plugs live alongside the rest of your plumbing. Browse Fittings and Adapters to build out the ports you are keeping, and see the full Engine Components section for the wider build. If you're deep in a fuel job, Fuel Pumps pair with the same AN and ORB hardware, and rebuilds will pull in Gasket Kits.

Fitment and ordering

These plugs are sized by thread and port, not by vehicle, so confirm the port on your part before you buy. If you're unsure which size or seal type you need, call fitment help at 813-535-5801 or reach us through contact us. Every order ships free, and Affirm and Katapult financing is available at checkout.
