BBS
BBS wheels: the German forging standard
BBS wheels are the benchmark most other performance wheels get measured against. The name has been fixed to motorsport paddocks and factory-tuner catalogs for decades, and the reputation is earned the hard way - forged construction, hard concave faces, and a mounting tolerance that lets a set spin true at real speed. When people talk about the multi-spoke look that defined a whole era of touring cars, they're usually picturing a BBS. We carry the full range at ThreePiece.us, from lightweight track pieces to street-tuned monoblocks.
What BBS is known for is honesty in the metal. These are forged and flow-formed alloys built to spec, not badge-engineered castings. The catalog runs deep - well over a thousand SKUs across diameters from 15" all the way to 22" - because BBS builds a wheel for the enthusiast dropping an old E30 as readily as it does for the owner of a modern GT car.
The BBS lineup, model by model
This is the heart of the range. Each model has its own job, so here's what actually separates them.
The classic mesh: LM, LM-R and Super
The LM is the icon - a 2-piece mesh wheel with a diamond-cut lip, offered from 17" through 21" and in the widest finish spread of any BBS, including gold, Selenite Bronze and the F1 Championship Edition Gold. The LM-R is the larger, more aggressive sibling, starting at 19" for wider fitments and staggered setups. The 2-piece Super is a step up in build, a 19" Diamond Silver mesh with a premium finish.
The cross-spoke race family: RS-GT, RG-R and RG-F
The 2-piece RS-GT carries the split cross-spoke look with diamond-cut lip options in silver, black and gold. The monoblock RG-R (17-19") and the smaller RG-F (15-16", Brilliant and Sport Silver) keep that heritage spoke pattern in a lighter one-piece casting for older and compact platforms.
The CH / CI / CC track-street group
The CH-R is the workhorse monoblock, with the deepest finish menu including several polished Rim Protector variants. The CH-R Nurburgring Edition adds the Satin Black/Red Lip treatment. The CH-RII is the big-diameter 2-piece take, running 20-22" with elaborate platinum-center and stainless Rim Protector combinations. The CI-R is the lighter directional-look monoblock, also offered as a CI-R Nurburgring Edition. The CC-R rounds out the group as a clean multi-spoke monoblock in graphite, satin black and satin platinum.
The forged flagship: FI, FI-R, FI-R Evo and FIR
This is the top of the range. The FI and FI-R are ultralight forged monoblocks - the FI-R alone comes in nearly twenty finishes, from Neodyme to White Gold, and includes Center Lock options. The FI-R Evo pushes wider and more aggressive, and the FIR is the extreme 20x12 Center Lock piece. The forged FS in 19" Diamond Black and Diamond Silver sits alongside them.
The modern RI / RE / RN and everyday range
The RI-A is the popular lightweight track/street monoblock with matte and satin bronze options; the larger RI-D and 2-piece-capable RI-S extend it upward. The RE-V7 is the contemporary multi-spoke with a full PFS finish set. For value and clean OE-plus looks, the SR, SX and XR cover 16-20" in a handful of tidy finishes. The RF is the compact flow-formed classic, the CO a single 18" Titanium piece, and the TL-A is the truck-oriented model in 6-lug patterns with multiple bore options.
Construction and finishes
The lineup splits cleanly by build. Most models are monoblock - a single forged or cast piece, lighter and stiffer, which is what the FI-R, RI-A, CH-R and CI-R all use. The heritage and big-diameter wheels - LM, LM-R, RS-GT, CH-RII and Super - are 2-piece builds with a separate center and rim, which is what gives them that deep lip and diamond-cut face. Finishes range from plain Satin Black and Diamond Silver right through to diamond-cut and machined lips, polished stainless Rim Protectors, and specialty colors like Neodyme, Citrine Gold and Selenite Bronze. Several models offer PFS (protective film system) versions for the machined and diamond-cut faces.
Price and who it's for
BBS spans a wide price band. Entry into the range starts around $280 a wheel with the SR and SX - genuinely accessible for a forged-heritage brand. The classic 2-piece LM and RS-GT sit in the four-figure range per wheel, and the forged flagships climb to around $3,285 for the FI-R and FIR. If you want a clean OE-plus upgrade on a budget, the SR/SX/XR family is the place to look; if you're building a track car or a serious show setup, the FI-R and LM are why the badge has the reputation it does.
