LIQUI MOLY 5L Top Tec 6200 Motor Oil SAE 0W20 - 20238

The LIQUI MOLY Top Tec 6200 SAE 0W-20 Motor Oil (part number 20238) is a high-tech, low-friction engine oil built on fully synthetic technology and specifically engineered to meet the demanding lubrication requirements of Audi, Porsche, SEAT, Škoda, and Volkswagen engines. If your VW Group vehicle calls for a 0W-20 viscosity rating and you want a product developed with those platforms in mind, the Top Tec 6200 is the purpose-built solution — not a general-use oil shoehorned into the spec. This 5-liter container gives you enough volume for a full oil change with fluid to spare for top-offs.

Key Features & Benefits

• Fully Synthetic Formula: Based on synthetic technology for superior film strength and thermal stability compared to conventional or semi-synthetic oils, helping your engine stay protected across a wider range of operating temperatures.
• Low-Friction Design: The 0W-20 viscosity grade is engineered to reduce internal engine friction at startup and during operation, supporting fuel efficiency and reducing wear during cold-start conditions when most engine wear occurs.
• Developed for VW Group Engines: Top Tec 6200 was specifically developed to meet the high technical requirements of Audi, Porsche, SEAT, Škoda, and Volkswagen — making it a natural fit for owners who want an oil matched to their platform rather than a generic alternative.
• Innovative Additive Technology: Formulated with an additive package engineered to deliver excellent protection against wear, impressive engine cleanliness, and greater oxidation stability — meaning the oil resists breaking down and forming sludge over time.
• Engine Cleanliness: The detergent and dispersant additive chemistry helps keep internal engine surfaces clean, preventing deposit buildup that can rob performance and shorten engine life.
• Oxidation Stability: Greater resistance to oxidation means the oil maintains its protective properties longer under high-heat, high-stress operating conditions typical of modern turbocharged VW Group engines.
• 5-Liter Convenience: The 5L jug provides a full service fill for most applicable engines with enough left over for a top-off between changes — no need to crack a second container for a partial fill.

Fitment

LIQUI MOLY Top Tec 6200 0W-20 was developed specifically for vehicles from the Volkswagen Group that require a 0W-20 specification engine oil, including select models from Audi, Porsche, SEAT, Škoda, and Volkswagen. A well-known real-world application discussed among enthusiasts includes VW platforms such as the MK7-generation Golf/GLI with the EA888 Gen 3 engine, as well as Tiguan models that specify 0W-20. Because VW Group oil specifications vary by engine generation and model year, always verify your owner's manual or the oil specification label on your engine cover before purchasing. If your vehicle requires a different VW Group oil spec (such as 5W-30 or 5W-40 variants), this product is not the correct choice — only use Top Tec 6200 0W-20 where a 0W-20 viscosity and its associated approval are called for.

Frequently Asked Questions

What vehicles is LIQUI MOLY Top Tec 6200 0W-20 designed for?

Top Tec 6200 0W-20 was specifically developed to meet the oil requirements of select Audi, Porsche, SEAT, Škoda, and Volkswagen engines that call for a 0W-20 viscosity specification. Always cross-reference your owner's manual or engine oil specification label to confirm this is the correct grade for your specific model and year.

Is this a fully synthetic motor oil?

Yes. LIQUI MOLY Top Tec 6200 is based on fully synthetic technology, which provides superior thermal stability, oxidation resistance, and low-friction performance compared to conventional or semi-synthetic alternatives.

Will the 5-liter container cover a full oil change?

For most applicable VW Group engines, 5 liters is sufficient for a complete oil change and may leave a small amount for top-offs between service intervals. Confirm your engine's exact oil capacity in your owner's manual to be certain.

Can I use Top Tec 6200 0W-20 if my car previously used a heavier viscosity like 5W-30?

You should only use the viscosity grade specified by your vehicle manufacturer. Switching viscosity grades without confirming your engine's approval requirements can affect engine protection and may void warranty coverage. Consult your owner's manual or a qualified technician before changing oil weights.
