Lug Nuts
Lug Nuts: the small part that keeps your wheels on the hub
Lug nuts clamp your wheel to the hub over the wheel studs, holding the wheel centered and carrying the clamping load that keeps everything tight under load, braking and cornering. Swap to aftermarket wheels and the factory nuts often won't match the new bolt holes or seat shape, which is exactly why people fit new lug nuts. Getting the thread pitch and the seat type right is what makes the wheel sit flush and stay torqued.
What ThreePiece stocks
There are 998 lug nut products in this category right now, spanning 21 brands. The biggest ranges come from Vista-adjacent tuner names, with Kyo-Ei, WheelMate and McGard among the deepest selections, alongside Mevius, Muteki, Mishimoto, Monsterlug, NRG, Vossen and more. Prices run from $0 to $904 as the current in-stock range, not a promise. That high end is titanium hardware like the Kyo-Ei Ti64 ELEMENTEK set in 12x1.50 and the 12x1.25 version. Product names cover applications for Ford, Jeep, Polaris and Tesla.
How to choose
Start with your thread pitch and seat type - most of what's here is cone/60-degree seat, like the McGard SplineDrive Tuner kit in M14x1.5 that ships with locks and the drive tool. From there:
- Standard steel tuner nuts are the value pick and cover most builds. The Project Kics R40 Iconix in M14x1.50 is a clean example.
- Locking sets add a keyed nut to deter theft on aftermarket wheels.
- Titanium like the Wheel Mate Muteki SR45R in Burned Titan sits at the top of the range for weight and finish.
If your new wheels or fitment need a different stud thread than the hub provides, a Wheel Mate titanium stud conversion (M14x1.25 to M14x1.5) sorts the mismatch and includes a 60-degree nut.
What else you need with it
If your car uses studs pressed into the hub, you want lug nuts. If it uses threaded holes in the hub, you want lug bolts instead - check before ordering. When you're pushing wheels out for clearance, look at wheel spacers and wheel adapters, which often change the stud or thread you'll be torquing to. Finish the look with center caps. All of this lives under the broader Wheel Accessories section.
