Volk Racing wheels: RAYS forged at the top of the game
Volk Racing wheels are the flagship forged line from RAYS Engineering of Japan. This is the badge people picture when they think of a lightweight forged wheel that has proven itself under load, and it has held that reputation for decades. Every model in the Volk Racing catalog is built to be stiff, light, and honest about what it is. Pick one up off the shelf and the first thing you notice is the weight, or rather the lack of it, followed by the crispness of the spoke edges and machining.
What follows is a walk through the lineup as we stock it. Note this covers a large but not exhaustive slice of the range, so if you don't see a spec here it may still exist.
The Volk Racing lineup, model by model
TE37: the six-spoke that started it all
The TE37 is the wheel Volk is best known for, a concave six-spoke that has spawned an entire family. The core forged monoblock lives on in several forms. The TE37SL is the modern step-lip take, with the TE37SL Black Edition III adding a darker treatment and rim accents. The TE37 Ultra is the larger-diameter, luxury-and-performance sibling, with the Ultra M-Spec and the Ultra Track Edition II tuning the concept toward touring and track respectively, and the Ultra Large PCD covering heavier trucks and SUVs.
For compact and track-focused builds, the TE37 Sonic and TE37 Sonic SL shrink the design down to 15- and 16-inch 4x100 sizes where every gram counts. The TE37 Saga SL, Saga SL M-Spec and Saga S-Plus carry the modern Saga design language, offered in finishes like Pressed Graphite, Gloss Black and Matte Black. The TE37V, its 10th Anniversary edition and the TE37V Mark II keep the deep-dish, aggressive-offset vintage look alive. On the rugged end, the TE37XT, XT M-Spec and XT SL M-Spec are the truck and off-road TE37s, with the TE37SB and TE37SB Tourer aimed at smaller-diameter utility fitments.
CE28: the featherweight mesh
The CE28 is Volk's lightest-feeling forged spoke design, a fine ten-spoke built for maximum weight savings. The CE28 Club Racer and Club Racer II are the track-day core, with the Club Racer II Black Edition stepping into larger 17- and 18-inch sizes and a blacked-out finish. The CE28 CR Scholarship keeps things small and affordable in 15- and 16-inch sizes, while the CE28SL is the step-lip evolution for street-and-track builds.
ZE40, G-series and the newer designs
The ZE40 and ZE40 Time Attack III bring a twisted-spoke forged design with finishes like Bronze Almite and Metallic Blue. The G025 and G16 are the flow-form-adjacent, luxury-leaning designs offered across a wide diameter spread, and the GT090 is the large 21-inch monoblock for high-end fitments, offered in Blast Black and Brightening Metal Dark. The NE24 is a clean multi-spoke available in Matte Gun Black and Shining Black Metal.
21-series and RAYS models
The 21A and 21C are 18-inch monoblock designs offered in Bronze, Dark Gunmetal and, on the 21C, Mag Blue accents. The 21C SPEC-SR adds a Shining Bronze Metal finish with rim detailing. On the RAYS-badged side, the RAYS M8 and RAYS M9 round out the 17-inch offerings in Dark Bronze and Black / Disk Clear Smoke.
Construction and finishes
Across this lineup the construction story is consistent: these are forged monoblock wheels, one piece of forged aluminum rather than cast or bolted-together. That is where the strength-to-weight comes from. Finishes run from the classic Volk Bronze and Dark Gunmetal to Pressed Graphite, Pressed Double Black, Blast Black, Matte Gun Black, Shining Black Metal and accent treatments like Rim DC and Mag Blue. The finish names vary by model, so the exact options live on each model page.
Price and who it's for
Volk Racing sits at the premium end. In our current stock, prices start around $500 for the smaller CE28 and TE37 Sonic sizes and climb well past $1,700 for the large-diameter GT090, with much of the catalog landing between. This is not budget wheel money, and it is not meant to be. You are paying for forged construction, genuine RAYS quality control, and a design catalog that has earned its status. If you want a wheel that is both proven on track and instantly recognizable in a parking lot, this is the shelf.
